We have been running Fashion classes for a number of years now but have had A LOT of in terest in costume design for those children and young people where this is a particular passion. So we listened and we've changed things up a bit!! We will introduce dressmaking techniques used in costume design. We assume that participants have a basic level of sewing (ideally attending our beg inner classes before joining this class). We take you through the full jou rney on how to make a costume piece (understanding and cutting the fabric to size\, selecting the fabric and altering it to suit the design). On the last session of the term we will open the session so that the children ca n showcase their piece to parents/guardians!
