 very fortunate to receive Lottery funding to run these FREE weekly worksho
 ps for children. Do you know a young person passionate about fashion and t
 heatre but they perhaps lack the sewing skills to bring their creations to
  life?? Then\, these are sessions are for them! These sessions combine the
 atre skills with costume design and construction\, with an environmental f
 ocus on repurposing textiles\, and working towards a final showcase taking
  place next spring! Children will be able to explore their creative side w
 ith expressive arts and textile reuse at its heart. What to expect: Beginn
 er-friendly sewing sessions to learn how to sewSuitable for all levels of 
 experienceAll materials providedEach session will be working towards the f
 inal showcase next spring! This is the SECOND term out of four. In the fir
 st two terms\, the sessions will be more beginner-focused to make sure eve
 ryone has the sewing skills to participate in creating costumes for the fi
 nal showcase. In terms 3 and 4\, we will be partnering with Creative Spark
  Theatre Arts to develop the play and final showcase with their expert hel
 p. These last two terms will allow for our new beginners to join with our 
 more established costume and dressmakers. But this second term is focused 
 on building the sewing skills that will mean a bigger and better showcase 
 where more children can participate! We want to make sure our younger and 
 more inexperienced stitchers have the opportunity to play an active part i
 n the Stitch the Gap final showcase taking place next spring!! If you are 
 one of our experienced costume/dressmaking kids and want to be involved\, 
 please please join our Youth Board as we NEED YOU to shape the classes and
  the showcase to what YOU would like to see! Booking is essential. We will
