We have been running Fashion classes for a number of years now b ut have had A LOT of interest in costume design for those children and you ng people where this is a particular passion. So we listened and we've cha nged things up a bit!! We will introduce dressmaking techniques used in co stume design. We assume that participants have a basic level of sewing (id eally attending our beginner classes before joining this class). We take y ou through the full journey on how to make a costume piece (understanding and cutting the fabric to size\, selecting the fabric and altering it to s uit the design). On the last session of the term we will open the session so that the children can showcase their piece to parents/guardians!
