\nKIDS Costume Design: 5pm every Tuesday in Milngavie - £120 for the 8 we
ek term If your child loves costume\, cosplay or fashion then THIS is the
class for them! We have been running Fashion classes for a number of years
now but have had A LOT of interest in costume design for those children a
nd young people where this is a particular passion. So we listened and we'
ve changed things up a bit!! We will introduce dressmaking techniques used
in costume design. We assume that participants have a basic level of sewi
ng (ideally attending our beginner classes before joining this class). We
take you through the full journey on how to make a costume piece (understa
nding and cutting the fabric to size\, selecting the fabric and altering i
t to suit the design). On the last session of the term we will open the se
ssion so that the children can showcase their piece to parents/guardians!
Due to the nature of the lessons we ask that you commit to the full 8 week
block as each lesson builds on the previous one each week: Week 1: 22nd A
pr Week 2: 29th Apr Week 3: 13th May Week 4: 20th May Week 5: 27th May Wee
k 6: 3rd Jun Week 7: 10th Jun Week 8: 17th Jun Booking is essential as we
keep our classes small. We will ask parents/guardians to complete a parent
al consent form before the class (this will be emailed separately and only
required if you have never attended classes before or your existing detai
