We have been running Fashion cl asses for a number of years now but have had A LOT of interest in costume design for those children and young people where this is a particular pass ion. So we listened and we've changed things up a bit!! We will introduce dressmaking techniques used in costume design. We assume that participants have a basic level of sewing (ideally attending our beginner classes befo re joining this class). We take you through the full journey on how to mak e a costume piece (understanding and cutting the fabric to size\, selectin g the fabric and altering it to suit the design). On the last session of t he term we will open the session so that the children can showcase their p iece to parents/guardians!
