After much consultation and feedback we have launched our first bereavement workshops
Join us for a 5 week block to create a memory bear from an item of clothing that is close to your heart
With special thanks to the National Lottery we are able to offer bespoke bereavement workshops.
The idea came about when Trish (co-founder at Stitch the Gap) lost her mum and didn't know what to do with a lot of her things. Amanda (the other co-founder!) designed a session for Trish and her family to come in and make something from her mums clothes. Her mum loved her blouse and cardies and was always out and about with her much loved dog Rosie. Some family members sifted through photos and others took part in a sewing workshop to turn memorable garments into cushions (using her blouse and cardies) and peg bags (from her dog walking jackets).
