FREE Theatre Costume Construction for Children
Thursdays | 4.30-6pm (29th Oct-17th Dec)
We've been very fortunate to receive Lottery funding to run these FREE weekly workshops for children.
And this term it's time to start working on the show!!!!!
These sessions combine theatre skills with costume design and construction, with an environmental focus on repurposing textiles, and working towards a final showcase taking place next spring!
Children will be able to explore their creative side with expressive arts and textile reuse at its heart.
This is the THIRD term out of four.
This term we are partnering with Creative Spark Theatre Arts to develop the play and final showcase with their expert help. These last two terms will allow for our new beginners to join with our more established costume and dressmakers.
We want to make sure our younger and more inexperienced stitchers have the opportunity to play an active part in the Stitch the Gap final showcase taking place next spring!!
If you are one of our experienced costume/dressmaking kids and want to be involved, please please join our Youth Board as we NEED YOU to shape the classes and the showcase to what YOU would like to see!
Booking is essential.
We will ask parents/guardians to complete a contact form before the class (the link for this is contained within the confirmation email).
